There is INTI/Taylor open tomorrow

Filed under: Uncategorized — Ethan Law @ 5:03 AM

11th July is INTI/Taylor open for ultimate frisbee, taking place at INTI field and i’ll be playing for INTI team instead of my own team El-ninos. So tomorrow is the big day, and i havent got any shut eye due to locating the guests to their sleeping place and made sure of everyone knows what’s going on tomorrow.Have to wake up tomorrow at 6 to get ready!!

This time i’m not putting hope on winning with this INTI team but i sure hope my team El-Ninos will win this time. If anyone is reading this and wants to check out ultimate frisbee, feel free to come to the field at anytime between morning till evening.

Next tournament is the Singapore Open i should be flying to Singapore right after my exams ends and playing for El-ninos YES!!!

Have to mention, i’ve just visited a friend of mine at block H, he lives in a single room, and his room is very small and almost like a prison cell to me except that they have closet and study table. Just realised how lucky i am to get this room. I promise i will take good care of it.

Sleepy now, getting some sleep and face tomorrow.

How can i not mention 2

SJK(c) Chen Moh Petaling Jaya

My primary school. when is was 7 i was in class 1C maybe i cried on my first day of class but i don’t remember. I met friends i sometimes still meet today, i broke a window glass and didn’t pay for it. I was just 7 years old.

Until standard 3, i did well in PTS forgotten what that stands for and managed to skip standard 4 and go straight to standard 5 yeah. All because of high IQ i guess. IQ doesn’t really help me in my studies but it helps in mind games.

Standard 5 till 6 was great too, met great friends and got into Catholic High School which is very much impossible to get in these years unless you are very very good.

Surprise surprise, guess what part time job i did early this year after STPM and before i came to INTI. I was a temporary teacher in my primary school. I was teaching afternoon session, there was one week where i had to teach morning and the afternoon sessions, i’ve learned some things. First, i use to think kids are cute but now they scares me haha. Second, teachers are just as or if not, more excited about school holidays than students.

It was great experience anyhow.

How can i not mention

Catholic High School Petaling Jaya,

One of the best high school in Malaysia, we produce successful people. proud of it hehe.
Yes that is my high school, studied there for 7 years form 1 till form 6. Many memories good and bad, made many many friends. The school has more than 3 thousand students and a hundred over staffs. The school was started in the year 1956 and currently has 6 academic and office blocks, 2 science lab plus computer lab blocks, a big field, a big hall and an indoor (2)basketball court. Yes my school is very big.

My school have many achievements academically and in sports. I myself participated in Math, Table Tennis, Squash and Ultimate Frisbee competitions and have done the school proud.

Favorite and best moments in my high school life was form 5 and form 6 times. I had the most happening class in form 5. We are still very close together, ocasionally we go for badminton and trips. We also do Chinese New Year visitings.

During form 6 times, i’ve enjoyed what was not enjoyed in previous years and we were then the big brother and big sisters in school.

Most people will have experience their high school and it should be very meaningful. It’s like growing up together. This is one memories you will never forget.

Lately

I found out Michael Jackson died only through facebook. I really liked his songs Beat it, Billy Jean, i liked it even more when i was young. Music video of Earth song was still in my mind, It was the no,1 MJ song according to MTV’s chart.

He was a great inspiration to many, he done thing most couldn’t. Many can now come to appreciate him. Before that, there were people accusing him of child molesting and many accusations.

Another shocking news i found out was the teaching of Math and science was changed back to Bahasa Malaysia. I believe the teaching in english will greatly benefit students in higher education especially at undergraduate level, but the first batch of students that did it  have not reach university yet and they have concluded that it is not worth it. Reasons of this decision was because the gap of city and rural students was getting wider. Many couldn’t accept this decision and blaming the government. I couldn’t understand the gorvernment either and hope we will see the effect soon.

Just to mention Cristiano Ronaldo was sold to Real Madrid from Manchester United at a very very high price. Therefore this has made him the most expensive player in the world. His new number is 9 and his jersey is selling like hot cakes. Bravo! Thumbs up

Form 6 post

Since adeline did a post about her form 6 life, i’m doing one too haha.

Lower 6 my class got to study in a class with air conditioning, AWESOME!!! The taman negara trip i was at first the planning committee but in the end didn’t managed to go for the trip. Guess who else joined the trip, Lilian Tai aka Pn. Tai head of Student Affair Office joined them for the trip.

I was in the S&M Science and Mathematic society committee too although i was very much involved in the science part of the club since form 1, in form 6 much of my focus was in the Math team for compeition. Oh memories!! 7 years of my life in that school. I will never forget.

In upper 6 my class have own trips, party and hang outs. been to langkawi, redang, genting, karaoke sessions and parties. This year we went visiting during Chinese New Year, haha 2 years together make the form 6 students close.

Last few months of the second year was torturing for most, but i’m always happy go lucky so wasn’t really stress about it. Me, adeline and some friends was in the public library almost everyday studying and messing around. In the end, some manage to get oversea universities and 3 of us ended up in INTI.

At night in my room

Filed under: Uncategorized — Ethan Law @ 1:33 AM

I really hate those cars and motorbikes that are so loud and making noises late at night. It is very disturbing to people doing work and sleeping. I wonder what goes through their mind when they leave their car engine on. Damn it, people are not considerate, what’s wrong with them? not mature enough? do they enjoy making noises. It is noise pollution.

Others noises that are disturbing to me is, people talking in front of my door late at night, because my room is so near to the entrance, people tend to hang around there and chat. My air cond makes noises too i think it is time for service.

Air conditioning temperature to my own control, play music in the room, friends come over for a movie on my Laptop, there are many things i can do in my room without worrying of distrbing roommate since i dont have one.

I usually clean my room at late nights, it feels good when you manage to clean the whole room. Fresh smell gives a good night sleep. No unattended clothings hanging around too makes more space on the bed too.

Love sleeping when it’s raining outside. So far in Inti only once this happened and i only realised it in the morning.

Ultimate Frisbee

Filed under: Uncategorized — Ethan Law @ 1:12 AM

Google it if you don’t know what it is. It is a popular sport in varsities in america. I’ve been playing since year 2004. I’ve kinda represented Selangor team to play and went to Bangkok for competition. Next oversea should be Singapore if there is no complications.

Best thing about those competitions are the people and the party. Ultimate players are often free spirited and much fun. If you are playing other sport, most of the time are spent getting use to the new environment and last practice with own teammates, Ultimate frisbee tournaments around the world have parties over the tournament weekend. Man we love to PARTAY!!!!!!

Most of the times there are free flow of beer by the field. There was once a malaysian tournament match where winning and losing was determined by a boat race(drinking competition). it was between a thailand team and a singapore team and the thailand team won.

You can wear anything to play ultimate, there were people in america who played naked, i’ve seen and played half naked(tops off), and bunch of gay thai guys wore pink and play oh not forgetting scottish mates wore klits(scottish skirts) and at the recent Malaysia Ultimate Open : Kampung Style 2009 there were sarung wearing players everywhere.

Best thing about the game is spirit of the game where everyone practice very good sportsmanship and people are friendly. You will see me still playing for years coming.

Block C

Filed under: Uncategorized — Ethan Law @ 12:58 AM

I tell you, i love Block C!!! best ever block. It’s perfect.

No walking up a slope or stairs to reach the block, it’s close to the academic block, i always start my journey just 10 minutes before the class starts. It’s close to the basketball court, swimming pool, Multi Purpose Hall, squash court and dining hall.
Good News, i managed to rebooked my room and i’m very happy with it. It is the first room at the ground floor!! How much better can it get?? no walking up the stairs everyday, close to the vending machine, the entrance. It is so convenient, my friends put their stuff in my room like basketball because it’s easier to take and use it straight away instead of walking back to their rooms where it is on the 4th floor and deep inside.

Did i mention i have attach bathroom and own air conditioning. Cannot get any better. I do keep my room clean, so if ever there is a best room competition, i think i have serious chance to win it haha.

Bad news, it cost RM 152 per week that is RM 2280 for long sems and Rm 1520 for short sem. I’m looking foward to hostels in America i’m sure they are real cool.

One night in Seremban

Filed under: Uncategorized — Ethan Law @ 12:32 AM

I did something i wasn’t supposed to but i enjoyed it.
I took someone elses seat while i have my own elsewhere less comfortable. It was the night where me and friends went to Seremban Terminal 2 MBO cinema to watch Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen.

All because we bought the tickets soon before the movie started so we got 3 rows from the front seats. I found at the last row Twin seat ( seats usually for couples) which is much comfortable and was empty halfway into the movie so i took the chance and sit in it.

Watching the movie from there was must more comfortable because we don’t have to stress our neck. Anyway, to me the movie was awesome. i still can’t find why most people are dissapointed with it. Megan Fox was one hot chic in the movie, and all the robot action was Awesome!!! spell it with me A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! Haven’t seen something as impressive.

For those who have not watch the movie, you must find time to go and watch it. This movie will be in the cinema for at least 2 months i guess. Many people have watched it and maybe watched it many times. Incase you don’t know what is Transformers, it is an alien form that can transform into vehicles and back to their alien form and their stories on earth. Awesome stuff!!!!

Keretapi Tanah Melayu

Filed under: Uncategorized — Ethan Law @ 12:21 AM

Keretapi means Train. KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu) stands for Malayan Railways.

Yes i hated it, many also hate it but we really need it. Without it, people cannot go places easily. It’s the easiest way for most people without their own modes of transportation to travel from city to city like Kuala Lumpur to Cheras to Nilai where i’m at and to seremban. There are trains till almost midnight everyday and all the stations are safe.

During regular hours, you probrably can’t get a seat in a KTM. There are loads of people from the last station. When it is even busier periods, chances of getting onto the train are also slim. In this case, you will have to wait for the next train. There is also a problem with the schedule of the train. For people like me who are se to have my own transport(car)(i don’t have one in Nilai) waiting for KTM is torturing. I once waited one whole hour without my train arriving and when it did arrived, it was so packed, like sardines in a can. I barely squeeze in and started my 1 hour journey in a not so comfortable position.

Public transport is very much not efficient, and improvements should be made as soon as possible. However i’m very grateful that this although not so perfect transport is available to me as many in less developed country cannot enjoy this luxury.
